Wie settles for second
Honolulu's Michelle Wie tied for second yesterday after firing a 6-under 66 in the final round of the Navistar LPGA Classic at Prattville, Ala., to finish at 14-under 274.
The Punahou School graduate tied with Brittany Lang (70), both finishing four shots behind Lorena Ochoa (70). Ochoa defended her LPGA Tour title with a four-day total of 18-under 270 at the LPGA Tour event.
This is Wie's seventh top-10 finish in 17 appearances on tour and equals her second-place finish at the SBS Open in February for her best of the year.
