POSTED: Sunday, October 04, 2009
A woman tourist whose nude body was found in the waters off the Royal Hawaiian Hotel might have been murdered, and police are asking for the public's help to find a 31-year-old man in connection with the case. Police Maj. Clayton Kau said yesterday the death is being investigated as a homicide “;due to the suspicious nature of the death.”;
The woman found dead on the beach fronting the Royal Hawaiian Hotel was a relative of someone attending the American Dental Association Convention.

Police are asking the public for help in finding Aaron M. Susa, described by police as “;a person of interest.”;
Susa was last seen leaving the Waikiki Ohana West Hotel with the 25-year-old woman about 1:40 a.m. A jogger along Waikiki Beach noticed the woman's body about 6 a.m., police said.
Police did not identify the woman, but said she had been visiting Hawaii with her family.
“;We are grieving the loss of our beloved sister and daughter,”; her family said in a statement read by Kau.
Police are trying to establish the relationship between Susa and the woman, Kau said.
The city medical examiner's office has deferred the cause of death after an autopsy was conducted Friday.
Police Lt. Bill Kato said yesterday that the woman's body did not have any obvious signs of injury that might indicate how she died.
According to the state's criminal justice data center, Susa has 16 convictions since 2005 for offenses including drugs, indecent exposure and terroristic threatening. He is also wanted on two traffic warrants.
Kau said Susa lives on Oahu and has been seen in Waikiki.
He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
Anyone with information should call police at 911 or Crime Stoppers at 955-8300.
