UH hosting Korean dance workshops

The University of Hawaii at Manoa's Outreach College, in association with the Korea Society, will present “;The Sound of Ecstasy and Nectar of Enlightenment: Buddhist Ritual Song and Dance from Korea”; Thursday.

The monks will also offer free dancing and chanting workshops on the UH campus Wednesday.

The performance will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Theatre. Advance tickets are $15 to $25; $20 to $30 at the door. Faith and climate change on agenda

Global warming will be discussed at First Wednesday, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Harris United Methodist Church.

Rob Kinslow, executive director of the Hawaii Interfaith Power & Light, will talk about the latest science of climate change, the moral imperative of religion and solutions that can be employed today.

A discussion will follow the First Wednesday talk at 20 S. Vineyard Blvd. The project is part of the Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii.
