Honolulu's Michelle Wie returned to the tour yesterday in style, shooting a 6-under 66 to share third place at the Navistar LPGA Classic on the RTJ Golf Trail in Prattville, Ala.

Wie stepped to the tee on her final hole sharing the early lead with amateur Alexis Thompson, who opened with a 65. But a costly bogey dropped the 19-year-old Wie into a tie for second with Lisa Storm and Na Yeon Choi with more than half the field still on the course.

Once the afternoon pairings were complete, Janice Mooie claimed the first-round lead with a sizzling 64.
