Rainbow Wahine stay at No. 4

Hawaii remained at No. 4 in the AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 volleyball poll for the third consecutive week yesterday.

The Rainbow Wahine (11-2, 2-0 Western Athletic Conference) are behind Penn State (14-0), Texas (9-0) and Washington (12-0). The Nittany Lions received 50 of the 60 first-place votes, with the Longhorns receiving eight and the Huskies two.

The Rainbow Wahine swept Boise State and Idaho last week.

Hawaii leaves tonight on its first road trip of the season. The Wahine play at Louisiana Tech on Thursday and at New Mexico State on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Hawaii-Hilo women's volleyball team moved up three spots to No. 19 in the association's Division II poll.
