A teenage girl in custody jumped out a police car window at a busy downtown intersection yesterday and was quickly apprehended—but not before she lost her blouse.

The girl, who was en route to a detention facility on suspicion of fourth-degree theft, a misdemeanor, somehow slipped out of the window, which was slightly open, police said.

Officers quickly covered her up and took her into custody.

The 5:45 p.m. incident drew several responding police cars to the area of Punchbowl and South Beretania streets.
