Wishes granted for ice cream

Thirteen Cold Stone Creamery stores will give away a 3-ounce portion of Jack's Creation on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m., in exchange for a donation to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

The promotion is the culmination of a monthlong fundraiser that will benefit Make-a-Wish, Hawaii.

“;Cold Stone ice cream, children and wishes coming true create the perfect combination for a joyful experience.”;

Cold Stone Creamery has partnered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation of America since 2002, generating $3.2 million in donations.

Throughout the month, every Cold Stone store will sell paper Wish Stars for $1 each.

Enjoy Kraft Foods products, from cheeses and dressings to dinners and chocolates, and receive discounts on Waikiki Aquarium memberships now through Nov. 30.

Prospective members can receive $5 off a family-level membership with 3 UPC codes, or a $10 discount with 5 UPC codes when submitting a membership application.

Applicable products carrying the Kraft Foods logo include Ritz crackers, DiGiorno pizza, Crystal Light drinks, Toblerone chocolate, Oscar Mayer meats and many others.

The Children's Discovery Center garnered two awards in the 2009 Nickelodeon Parents' Pick Awards. The museum picked up wins for best museum and best indoor playspace.
