'Bows part of hoops marathon

The Hawaii men's basketball team will play before a late-night national audience for the second straight year in ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

UH's game against Northern Colorado, the final game of the round-robin Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic, will be a live ESPN broadcast at 11 p.m. (Hawaii time) on Nov. 16.

The Rainbow Warriors will appear in the third of 12 live games shown nationally on Nov. 17.

Last season, the Rainbows outlasted Idaho State in overtime, 67-64, before a crowd of 2,033 at the Stan Sheriff Center in a similar midnight contest.

 

Rainbow Wahine fall in soccer

Danielle Bitonti scored off Jennifer Smith's throw-in to give Cal State Fullerton a 1-0 victory over Hawaii in soccer at Fullerton, Calif.

The Rainbow Wahine outshot the Titans 6-3, but couldn't find the net.

The Rainbow Wahine (1-5-1) play at Cal State Northridge tomorrow.

The Titans improved to 2-4-1.
