SEATTLE » Wide receiver Rodney Bradley was happy after his first game as a Warrior.

Now, he's hovering on cloud nine.

After catching the game-winning touchdown pass to push Hawaii past pesky Central Arkansas last weekend, Bradley made sure last-minute heroics weren't necessary yesterday in the Warriors' 38-20 victory over Washington State at Qwest Field.

Bradley torched the Cougars' defensive backfield for 150 yards on seven catches, including touchdown receptions of 23 and 73 yards. The junior from Dallas notched 135 yards and the two scores in the first 20 minutes, and aided the Warriors in stacking a 35-0 lead before all the fans could find their seats.

“;I was pretty happy. I'm really confident now,”; Bradley said. “;Not only am I confident in myself, but I'm confident in my quarterback to make that pass to me, to look to me.”;

Bradley befuddled two defenders on his second touchdown grab of the afternoon, picking a high ball—one seemingly destined to end up in the hands of a waiting safety—with his fingertips, spinning through two would-be tacklers, and out-sprinting three more Cougars down the middle of the field to put Hawaii up 21-0.

“;That was definitely a confidence booster,”; Bradley said. “;I like to play with passion, and that took it to another level after that (play).”;

Bradley's strong performance paid dividends for teammate Greg Salas, as the slot receiver led the Warriors with 195 yards on seven catches. Hawaii head coach Greg McMackin acknowledged Bradley's effort, which provided open passing lanes for Salas.

“;Rodney was great. Rodney is big-time,”; McMackin said. “;He made some catches, and you can see how he can run (after the catch). He allows us to move Greg Salas inside. He's got speed to stretch things, and that's the difference between this year and last year: They'll run right by (the defenders).”;

Salas echoed his coach's sentiments, and acknowledged his fellow receivers for shouldering the load of pressure equally.

“;I don't think I've ever had all the pressure on myself. We're all capable of doing what Rodney or I did tonight,”; Salas said. “;It could be any one of us. It just depends on where the ball's at and what play is called.”;

Bradley now has 192 yards on 10 receptions through two contests and figures to see many more passes from Hawaii quarterback Greg Alexander as defenses focus on containing Salas, Kealoha Pilares and Jovonte Taylor.

“;We do have a lot of weapons, from our first four receivers, and our backups,”; Bradley said. “;The sky's the limit.”;
