An Oahu grand jury indicted Corbit Ahn with second-degree murder in connection with the strangulation of 18-year-old Iris Rodrigues- Kaikana.
The indictment, returned yesterday, also charges Ahn, 29, of Makiki, with third-degree sexual assault.
He remains in custody, unable to post $2 million bail.
A woman picking flowers found Rodrigues-Kaikana's nude body in an alley Aug. 24 near Kamehameha Homes in Kalihi. Witnesses told police Ahn and Rodrigues-Kaikana were at an apartment nearby the night before.
Honolulu police said they found Ahn's DNA on various parts of Rodrigues-Kaikana's body.
