Boy choir looking for new members
The Honolulu Boy Choir is looking for new members.
The choir is looking for boys ages 8 to 12 with the ability to match pitch, a desire to perform, strong personality and expressive faces. No musical experience is necessary. Membership in the choir is free.

Annual Gridiron set for Oct. 23-24
Gridiron, the annual journalists spoof-fest, is back, and a matinee has been added to the lineup this year.
“;Gridiron 2009: Doing Less with Less”; will take another round of jabs at current events in Hawaii at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 and at 3 and 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Diamond Head Theatre. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday.
Under the direction of Robbie Dingeman and Keoki Kerr, the ensemble cast of media members, including the Star-Bulletin's B.J. Reyes and Erika Engle, will sing and dance their way through the year's headlines to benefit the Society of Professional Journalists' Hawaii chapter internships and scholarships.

Investigate the visual at KCC
Six faculty members at Kapiolani Community College show their work in “;Visual Investigations,”; running through Sept. 18 at Koa Gallery.
Carl Jennings' large-scale paintings, copper sculptures by Carol Sakihara, Elizabeth Nakoa's installation and new prints, Kauka deSilva's ceramics and drawings by Kloe Kang share the walls with gallery director David Behlke's mixed-media pieces.
