The husband of a former Miss Kauai killed in a violent domestic conflict faces up to 55 years in prison, under a plea agreement made in Indiana.
Joseph Warnock, intoxicated by drugs and alcohol, stabbed wife Angela more than 50 times in front of their two daughters, the Indianapolis Star said yesterday.
His sentencing in Superior Court was scheduled for Oct. 9, the newspaper said.
Angela Warnock, Miss Kauai 1990, was planning to divorce her husband and had a protective order against him when he broke into the house and stabbed her.
Warnock was in bed with her two daughters when the attack took place, and the girls ran into a closet.
Warnock was born in Indiana but attended St. Catherine's School in Kapaa, Kauai, as a child.
After winning the Miss Kauai title, she was a model for a short time in Milan, Italy.
