Forever 21 to replace Hilo Hattie in Waikiki

Forever 21, the trendy fashion retailer from Los Angeles, is filling the vacant space originally slated for Hilo Hattie at the Royal Hawaiian Center next summer.
The three-level flagship store, measuring 42,580 square feet, will be the center's largest tenant and Forever 21's biggest store in the isles.
Besides offering fashions for women, the store will offer men's apparel as well as plus sizes and more brand labels.
Forever 21 has three other stores in Hawaii, including Ala Moana Center, Pearlridge Center and Queen Kaahumanu Center on Maui.
The new store is sandwiched between the Cheesecake Factory and Bebe in Building C on the Diamond Head end of the center.
Hilo Hattie, which filed for bankruptcy in October and originally intended to open its flagship store at the space, failed to obtain financing commitments by a Feb. 1 deadline.
