The Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii will hold a free training session for those interested in becoming an Ambassador of Aloha.
The session will run from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 12 in rooms 302-A and 302-B at the Hawai'i Convention Center. Volunteers will be instructed on how to help visitors in an emergency.
The society assists about 2,000 visitors a year, such as victims of thefts or an accident, or tourists who had medical emergencies.
Reservations, which are recommended, can be made by calling Jessica Lani Rich, president and executive director of the society, at 926-8274.
