Teen critically hurt in crash
A 16-year-old boy was critically injured yesterday in a single-car crash in Waimanalo.
A 16-year-old boy was thrown out of the backseat of a car and critcally injured in Waimanalo early this morning.

Police said the 16-year-old girl driving the Honda Accord showed signs of intoxication and may have been speeding.
Shortly after 1 a.m., the Waimanalo girl was driving north on Hihimanu Street near Kakaina Street when she lost control and hit a telephone pole and then a large tree, police said.
The boy was thrown from the rear seat and sustained head and other injuries. He was taken to the Queen's Medical Center along with the driver and a front-seat passenger, both in good condition.
Criminal charges are pending.
Man charged in sex assault
A 19-year-old American Samoan man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a girl in an airport hotel stairwell.
Potu Saini of Fagaalu was charged with first-degree sexual assault and three counts of third-degree sexual assault on Saturday. He was being held on $200,000 bail.
Police said the girl, 16, reported Saini sexually assaulted her at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Ohana Honolulu Airport Hotel on Nimitz Highway. Saini was arrested at the hotel.
Gun threats lead to arrest
A 23-year-old Palolo man was charged yesterday for pointing a gun at one woman and threatening to kill another in Kaneohe.
David Kaneholani Stone is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail for two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree burglary.
Police said that at 5:10 a.m. Saturday, Stone entered his ex-girlfriend's apartment with a handgun and put it against the head of a 21-year-old woman who was sleeping on the couch. Stone demanded to know where his ex-girlfriend was and said he was going to kill her, police said.
He ransacked the apartment, then fled, police said. Stone turned himself in about six hours later.
