Second man will plead guilty in '07 robbery

A defendant in a 2007 robbery that led to an execution-style killing on Kaneohe Bay Drive has pleaded guilty rather than go to trial.
Reginald Pettway, 31, pleaded guilty in state court yesterday to second-degree robbery and kidnapping. Both charges are class B felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Pettway will be sentenced in October. He had been charged with first-degree burglary and being an accessory to class A kidnapping and first-degree robbery.
Police and prosecutors said Pettway and two other men went to a Puuohalai Place home in Kaneohe on May 14, 2007, to steal money and drugs while resident Benjamin Grajeda was out. When he returned home early, police said the two other men beat him and put him in a car trunk, though he escaped during the ride.
Police said murder defendant Jerrico Lindsey chased after Grajeda, shooting around passing vehicles.
A motorist said she later saw Lindsey shoot Grajeda in the back while he was on his knees in the roadway.
William Lee Freeman Jr., 37, agreed to plead guilty last year to kidnapping and hindering prosecution.
Lindsey, 28, is awaiting trial for second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, terroristic threatening and firearm offenses.
Melissa Ann Ordonez, 23, is charged with being an accessory to first-degree robbery, kidnapping and first-degree burglary.
Police said Ordonez sent Grajeda on an errand and arranged for the men to steal his money and drugs.
