Robbery suspect is nabbed
A 27-year-old homeless man was arrested for allegedly robbing at knifepoint a 67-year-old man at his Ward Avenue area home.
Police said the younger man, who was an acquaintance, showed up at the older man's home Sunday afternoon and robbed him of his laptop computer.
Police said the 27-year-old fled with the laptop but was later found nearby by responding officers. Police arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
Arrest made in custody case
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of custodial interference for allegedly preventing a 24-year-old woman from taking custody of her son in Kakaako.
Police said woman went to her former Queen Street home at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday after learning the boy's father left him with the suspect. The man allegedly refused to give her custody of the boy and removed her from the apartment as she tried to call police.
The man barricaded the door, and officers forced their way into the apartment. Officers found the child inside unharmed and arrested the man.
Assault leads to 2 arrests
Police arrested two men allegedly involved in an assault and a shotgun blast in Waimanalo.
At about 9:10 p.m. Saturday, a 26-year-old man threw a beer bottle at a Waimanalo man's head, causing a laceration, police said. Then a 21-year-old man fired a shotgun into the air. Both men fled from 41-1260 Kalanianaole Highway in a Honda, police said.
Police arrested the two at their Waimanalo homes on Paupahapaha Place. The older man was booked on suspicion of second-degree assault and the younger man on suspicion of first-degree reckless endangering. Police said the victim, whose age was not available, was not seriously hurt.
