Driver is sought in fatal hit-run

Police are looking for the male driver of a light-colored van involved early yesterday morning in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Ewa Beach.
The van driver struck a 68-year-old woman who was crossing Fort Weaver Road at 5:30 a.m.
The woman was taken in critical condition to the Queen's Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries, police said.
The crash occurred on Fort Weaver Road, five feet southeast of Makule Road.
The van was heading southeast on Fort Weaver Road. The driver is wanted for failure to render aid, police said.
Police said it was Oahu's 38th traffic fatality for 2009 compared with 31 at the same time last year.
