The state with the mildest climate —— the U.S. Weather Bureau at Honolulu airport has recorded an “;extreme”; low of 55 and an “;extreme”; high of 90 degrees.

The state with the world's largest active volcano, Mauna Loa.

The state with the world's largest inactive volcano with a historical record of eruption, Haleakala.

The only state which was once an independent kingdom (Iolani Palace is the only royal palace in the U.S.)

50 STAR FLAG
