» Shane Victorino (St. Anthony) had a busy week. On Monday, he was ejected from the Phillies' game against Florida. While in center field, he threw his arms up in the air after a pitch by Rodrigo Lopez was called a ball by umpire Ed Rapuano, who immediately ejected Victorino. The Phillies' All-Star center fielder sprinted in to complain and had to be restrained by teammates. During the Cubs-Phillies game on Wednesday night, a fan in the center-field stands threw a beer that hit Victorino an doused him. Yesterday against Atlanta, Victorino chased down a long fly ball in the second inning and made two running catches against the wall in the fifth and sixth.
» Kurt Suzuki (Baldwin) hit his ninth homer of the year last Sunday in Oakland's victory over Kansas City
» Jerome Williams (Waipahu) picked up two wins in relief for the Sacramento River Cats last week. He also improved his ERA to 5.76 from 6.60.
» Brandon League (Saint Louis) pitched three scoreless innings and struck out three in relief against the Yankees on Wednesday. League is allowing under a hit an inning (49 hits in 54 innings pitched) and he has a 53 to 14 strikeout to walk ratio. In 47 appearances, he's given up at least three runs on five occasions and exactly one run just four times.
