A 23-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a police officer and kicked out a squad car window.

Police said officers were responding to a report of a fight at a Waianae beach when the man pushed an officer at about 7:05 p.m.

During the man's arrest, he punched and kicked the officer, police said. Inside the patrol car, he allegedly kicked out the window.

The officer was treated for minor injuries.

The man was booked on suspicion of first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, harassment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal property damage.

Police booked a 54-year-old Pacific Heights woman and her 32-year-old daughter Saturday after a dispute over a car in Waimanalo.

At 2:20 p.m. the two were arguing over the vehicle when the mother assaulted her daughter, who was sitting in the car on Waikupanaha Street, police said.

The daughter sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Police booked the mother on suspicion of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and her daughter for two warrants.
