It's great to have choices and best to choose wisely

The other evening, between my day and night jobs, I called my son while driving in to work. He asked what I wanted. The moment I heard his voice, I blurted out, “;I need to talk.”;
He replied, “;Are you OK?”; He must have heard something different in my voice.
I admitted, “;I'm feeling a little envious right now.”;
I continued, saying that I wanted to play and ride my bike and not work, just like he was doing. His response was that I shouldn't worry because, basically, the shoe would be on the other foot when I retired.
Humph! I told him that if he played this game of life with more thought now, at his young age, perhaps he would not be in the same place I am.
As I hung up, I remembered that not too long ago, I had the carefree feeling of NOT working for 2 1/2 years, a choice I made in order to discover what I wanted to do next with my life. The choices I made affect my life today. I was committed to two things: my personal growth and the personal growth of my son.
Today I am working again to fill my pocketbook, and I'm noticing that my attitude has changed. I work with integrity to include all that surrounds me. When it's time to rest, I listen to my intuition and rest. My co-workers receive the benefit of being with me because I care, and the way I value relationships has grown stronger, primarily because the concept of “;win-win”; has entered into my game. I've discovered how great I really am. When I am feeling good about me, I can “;be”; a whole lot better for the rest of my human race. Isn't that the same for you?
NAPOLEON HILL, who wrote “;Think and Grow Rich,”; said: “;Express gratitude twice daily for your recognition of the fact you have been given complete control over your own mind and ask for guidance in order that you may use this profound gift wisely in all your thoughts and acts.
“;Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”;
I now realize I am the only person who can provide me with a positive mental attitude. Now, what am I going to do about it?
Driving in to work that evening, I felt momentarily overwhelmed. Day job, night job, 'Olelo film class, golf lessons, hiking Diamond Head three times a week for exercise, yardwork, not to mention laundry, eating and sleeping! All choices, but I am grateful I have choices. Off to work I go!
