» Shane Victorino (St. Anthony) sat Friday with a sore knee and quadriceps. “;His quad is a little sore,”; manager Charlie Manuel told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “;He had some puffiness (around the knee), so we've definitely got to watch that. We'll see where he's at (today).”;
» Tulsa Drillers second baseman Rex Rundgren (Mid-Pacific) was pressed into duty as a pitcher and took the 5-4 loss in the 16th inning against the Arkansas Travelers.
» Steven Wright (Hawaii) maintained his perfect record this season by earning the win with two spotless innings of relief Friday in a 2-1 win over the Connecticut Defenders. The Akron Aeros are 19-8 in games Wright has appeared this season (including five starts).
» Kris Sanchez (Hawaii) returned from the disabled list on Aug. 1 for the Clinton LumberKings and hit his first home run of the season three days later.
» Esteban Lopez (Hawaii) hit a three-run double to lead the Great Lakes Loons to a 4-3 win over the Clinton LumberKings.

» Kingsport shortstop Gered Mochizuki (Baldwin) lifted his average to .261 with a seven-game hitting streak. During that run, Mochizuki had eight hits in a three-game stretch.
