Victim of alleged assault sees suspect at courthouse

The 37-year-old victim of an alleged attack last month in Waianae recognized his assailant in court yesterday and had him arrested, police said.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man yesterday at Honolulu District Court for allegedly assaulting the 37-year-old June 21.

The two were both in court yesterday on unrelated matters when the victim saw the suspect, police said.

Police arrested the 35-year-old on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Big Isle police searching for thief and stolen ATV

Big Island police are asking for the help in finding a stolen red all-terrain vehicle—and the thief.

Police said the Yamaha YFM250 Bear Tracker ATV was taken from a home in the Honomalino Acres area of South Kona between June 14 and 19.
