» In addition to a 10 percent pay cut this month, University of Hawaii President David McClain will forego the president's salary of $372,600 that he is entitled to when he takes a yearlong sabbatical next month. He will rejoin the faculty at an annual salary of $250,000 and will accept the same percentage pay cut as other faculty members. A front-page headline yesterday was misleading. Also, new UH President M.R.C. Greenwood takes office Aug. 24, not Saturday, as stated in a correction yesterday. The online edition has been corrected.
