Maui to stream filmmaker's talk online

Akaku Maui Community Television is welcoming Hollywood industry executive, Dan Richter, to speak about John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and to screen portions of his documentary “;Moonwatcher's Memoir A Diary of 2001: A Space Odyssey.”; However, for those who can't get to Maui, the presentation will also be streamed live at www.akaku.org.

Richter worked with Stanley Kubrick on “;The Dawn of Man”; and later spent four years working with the former Beatle and his wife on music and video projects.

The interview will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow at 333 Dairy Road in Kahului. RSVP at (808) 871-5554.

Akaku's director of operations, Lou DiLiberto, notes in an e-mail that if there is an abundance of viewers online, the image clarity may be affected during the live stream. However, the company will keep a digital copy so it can be summoned “;On Demand.”;
