Miao and Mousubi are back, this time with a new look thanks to a collaboration between local artist Zakkamono and the locally born art-world phenomenon Buff Monster.

Miao, a designer vinyl toy created by Zakkamono, was inspired by the maneki neko, Japanese good luck cat. Originally released with the designs of tokidoki's Simone Legno, this time Miao and his sidekick mouse pal Mousubi are graced with the Happy Pink, silver-and-black, and green glow-in-the-dark artwork of Buff Monster.

The collectible collection is limited to 250 pieces each in the pink and silver black, and 100 of the glow-in-the-dark pieces.

Unfortunately for Hawaii fans, the GID exclusive will be a San Diego Comic Con release with Buff scheduled for a signing at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

The pink and silver-black pieces are $80 at Prototype at Pearlridge Center.
