Kauai club to host free family golf day

Kauai Lagoons Golf Club in Lihue will host its second annual Family Golf Festival from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 8.

The festival, which encourages parents and children to learn and play the game together, features free golf activities and instruction, including short-game and full-swing clinics, plus instruction on rules and etiquette for beginning players.

Participants will have the chance to win a variety of prizes and also be treated to complimentary beverages.
