An international 'love fest'

Every year, the self-proclaimed “;longest-running dance music festival”; in America makes a stop-off in Hawaii, as top-notch DJs from all over get the masses moving, taking over for an evening Oahu's family water-recreation park.
The '09 version will have one anticipated performer making his island debut in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Trance specialist John O'Callaghan was named in his home country as last year's best producer and DJ at the Irish Dance Music Awards. His latest album, “;Never Fade Away,”; is a current favorite in the clubs and features the dynamic title cut and guest singer Sarah Howells.

Joining O'Callaghan as headlining DJs in the main arena at this year's Love Festival will be popular party rocker DJ Reza, Los Angeles' DJ Dan spinning his unique homage to the genre called “;future retro,”; local house music heavyweight G-Spot and DJs Kid Krazzy and Scarrd. Chicago's DJ Heather and San Diego acid jazz favorite DJ Greyboy headline a second arena stage, joined by DJs Daniel J, PSI and Lenny V.
Working the hip-hop/reggae stage will be local DJs Lava, Rick Rock, Quicksilva, Sovern-T and Ricky Ricardo, with another area set aside for the jocks and mixers from University of Hawaii radio station KTUH-FM.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will help the charity Dance4Life, utilizing dance music as a vehicle for change in AIDS awareness and prevention.
