Attention and exercise can stop barking
POSTED: Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Question: What can I do about my dog barking all the time?
Answer: Barking may be unappealing for our ears but for dogs, it's the way they talk.
The leading reasons why dogs bark are: lack of exercise and socialization, and boredom. These problems can be fixed with plenty of attention from you, play dates with other dogs, and a couple of brisk walks a day. You also may want to consider hiring a responsible neighborhood teen to walk your dog after school, which will help burn off your dog's energy and socialize the pet with someone new. Try this for a week and see if the condition improves.
