Man arrested in stabbing
Police arrested a 19-year-old Kalihi man who allegedly stabbed a 32-year-old man Sunday night in Kalihi.
The younger man was involved in a fight with someone else at 9:45 p.m. when he turned on the victim who was trying to intervene, police said.
The suspect used a sharp instrument and stabbed the man, critically injuring him, police said. The man was taken to an area hospital and improved to serious condition, police said.
The suspect was arrested at 10 p.m. Monday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder and on a contempt warrant.
Teen assaulted in Waialua
A 15-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted by three males of unknown ages during a celebration at Waialua home Saturday night, police said.
The case is pending a sexual assault treatment center exam and forensic interview. It has been classified as first-degree sexual assault.
