BILL WISE: He was the star halfback and captain of the “;Wonder Teams”; that went undefeated in 1924 and '25 and went on to coach at several high schools, including McKinley, which named its field after him. Wise was enshrined in the UH Sports Circle of Honor in 1983 and was on the 11-player all-time UH team selected by an independent panel in 1973.
