Man, 69, dies during flight from American Samoa
A man died yesterday aboard a trans-Pacific flight from American Samoa.
The victim, a 69-year-old man, suffered an asthma attack aboard Hawaiian Airlines Flight 1466 while the plane was en route from Pago Pago to Honolulu.
The flight arrived at Honolulu Airport at 6:02 a.m., but the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival by attending airport Emergency Medical Services workers.
Bank robbery suspect leaves ID card on counter
Police are seeking the public's help in finding a 48-year-old man wanted for questioning in a Moiliili bank robbery after he apparently left his state identification card at the bank, officials said.
The man walked into the Moiliili branch of Central Pacific Bank yesterday afternoon and handed a note to a teller demanding money, police said.
The teller then gave the man an undisclosed amount of money before he fled, police said.
He was identified by a state identification card left on a counter in the bank.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, and having gray hair and dark brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a green-and-white polo shirt with dark-colored long pants.
Woman says three men assaulted her in Waikiki
Three men are suspected of sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in Waikiki early Sunday morning, police said.
The woman said the men were between the ages of 21 and 30, police said.
Police have opened a first-degree sexual assault case, but no arrests had been made as of yesterday.
Cyclist injured in crash
Kona police responded to a report of a man who was badly injured in a motorcycle crash at Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Kealakehe Parkway about 8:45 p.m. yesterday.
