Three men are facing felony charges of prostituting a 16-year-old runaway and advertising her services online on Craigslist.

Police charged Marcus Xavier Arrington, 19, Anthony Terrell Fuller, 20, and Brad Yick Kin Young, 20, all of Aiea, with promoting prostitution in the first degree, a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Police also charged Arrington with sexually assaulting the girl and Fuller with drug possession.

Arrington and Fuller went to Honolulu District Court on the charges for the first time yesterday. They remain in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail each. Young is free after posting $11,000 bail. He is scheduled to go to court tomorrow.

Police said the three men worked together, forcing the girl to work as a prostitute for “;John Does”; during a 10-day period last December after she ran away from home. The girl's mother reported what happened to her daughter to an advocacy agency, which referred the case to police.

The girl told police Arrington threatened her with a handgun and forced her to have sex with him and others. She told police Arrington took the money she earned by having sex with customers in homes, hotels and cars.

She told police she went out on calls six to eight times per day to have sex with customers for $200 to $400. She estimated she brought in between $6,000 and $8,000 in the 10 days.

The girl told police Arrington gave a cut of the money to Young for escorting her to her appointments and Fuller for providing security when she was with customers.

Arrington is awaiting sentencing in state court for second-degree assault for hitting a person on the side of the head with a beer bottle in Blaisdell Park last August.

In January, when the state asked the judge to revoke Arrington's bail, the prosecutor said the state had credible evidence that Arrington possessed a firearm in December.

The prosecutor said the girl escaped and was hospitalized for treatment for emotional trauma and the resulting substance abuse.

The judge did revoke Arrington's bail in January, but granted him supervised release pending sentencing when he pleaded no contest April 17.
