Question: I'm considering adopting another cat. How do I find a good match?
Answer: Look for a cat similar in age and temperament. Having two dominant personalities may not work very well. The Humane Society's Cat House offers a perfect place to observe potential adoptee's interaction with others. And remember, the best time to welcome a new pet to the family is a weekend when you have a couple of days to spend with the cats—always rewarding them for behaving well with praise, attention, and treats. This transition time is important and can set the tone for the rest of their relationship.
