Windward Chevy hits the brakes

Servco's Windward Chevrolet dealership confirmed yesterday that its dealer agreement with General Motors will not be renewed after October 2010.
The dealership received a letter from GM informing it of the change.
“;Fortunately, Chevrolet sales from this location (Windward) constitute less than 1 percent of Servco's new vehicle sales, and this action will have no effect on our financial results,”; said Mark Fukunaga, chairman and chief executive officer, in a news release.
Servco also sells Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Subaru and Suzuki vehicles.
Servco's primary Chevrolet dealership, Servco Auto Leeward, received no notification and will continue to sell Chevrolets, the company said.
“;Warranties sold with GM vehicles will not be affected, and servicing of GM vehicles will continue at Servco,”; Fukunaga said.
