Willoughby tests positive for steroid
Trouble continues to follow former Hawaii volleyball All-American Kim Willoughby.
Yesterday, the Italian Olympic Committee said the 28-year-old Olympic silver medalist tested positive for the steroid nandrolone following an April 5 match between her Italian club Perugia and Cesena.
Willoughby is facing a first-degree assault charge in state court for an incident involving another woman outside Pipeline Cafe on Dec. 16, 2006. Her trial is scheduled to begin May 25. However, the court recently scheduled a change-of-plea hearing for May 18.
Willoughby has been free on bail since last September.
Wahine stay alive in WAC softball
Senior right fielder Tanisha Milca homered to open the game and help the Hawaii softball team stay alive in the Western Athletic Conference tournament with a 10-2 victory over Boise State yesterday in Fresno, Calif.

The Wahine face Nevada (37-16) in another elimination game today (1:30 p.m. Hawaii time).
