Question: What is happening for Love-A-Cat Month?

Answer: June is the time of year when a lot of cats are available for adoption. A the Hawaiian Humane Society, each feline is spayed or neutered and equipped with a microchip and a post-adoption health exam. The adoptive family is entitled to lifelong behavioral assistance through our Behavior Helpline, manned by a team of volunteers.

On June 14 the community is invited to Meow Mele at our shelter in Moilili. There'll be a cat-socializing demonstration and a cat show presented by Aloha Cat Fanciers. Held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the festivities will include contests, cat-toy making and an appearance by Kliban the Cat.
