WHAT'S IN STORE

Italian suits ready for the beach

It's getting warm out there, and with the long summer days and school break ahead, Allure Swimwear has just received timely new shipments of Miss Bikini and Verdissima Mare swimwear straight from the Italian Riviera.

The boutique, in the Royal Hawaiian Center and Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa, has the distinction of being the only shop in the United States carrying the exclusive brands, which produce and ship swimwear on Italian time, only once a year, so this is it for 2009.

Quantities are limited, so swimwear aficionados are invited to drop by as soon as possible for the best selection.

Allure Swimwear features more than 100 brands from around the world, including La Perla, Parah and Pin-Up Stars from Italy, along with the best U.S. and foreign labels.

BEAUTY SPOT

Protect yourself

Speaking of summer sun, Bare Escentuals has added bareMinerals to go with an SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen in a portable tube for boosting UVA/UVB when you find yourself outdoors longer than you expect.

The concentrated minerals include a dose of vitamins A, C and E, and are fortified with aloe vera extract to help skin retain moisture under burning rays.

Don't forget to brush it on bare arms and shoulders, as well as your face.

It's $28 at the Bare Escentuals boutique at Ala Moana Center.
