Punahou product Michelle Wie closed with a 4-under 69 to finish tied for 10th in the Corona Championship.

Wie earned $25,763 and finished at 14-under 278, 11 strokes behind Mexican star Lorena Ochoa, who defended her title by holding off Norway's Suzann Pettersen by a stroke in the dramatic final round.

The 19-year-old Wie had five birdies, including three on the front nine, and one bogey.

It was Wie's best performance since finishing second at the season-opening SBS Open at Turtle Bay. She has earned $142,757 in four events this season.
