Question: I'd like to get a second cat to keep my pet company. How can I find a good match?
Answer: Look for a cat similar in age and temperament. Having two dominant personalities might not work; neither will having an older pet with a kitten who wants to play all day.
The Hawaiian Humane Society is a great place to find a suitable companion and help you find a good match. Our Cat House offers a perfect place to observe your potential adoptee's interaction with others. In addition, the Humane Society offers lifelong behavior support, which can help resolve issues as you bring your old and new cats together. Call the Animal Behavior Helpline, 942-7297.
