HPU jumps up to No. 3 in region

Hawaii Pacific received a No. 3 ranking in the NCAA West Region softball top-10 poll this week.

The Sea Warriors jumped up one spot from last week's poll.

The Sea Warriors recently went 4-0 with four shutouts against Chaminade.

If HPU ends the regular season as one of the top two teams in the region, it could host a sub-regional.

The Sea Warriors have a 7-5 record against teams in the poll.
