Answer: There are trainers, but it's really you who gets the training! The goal of training is to create a disciplined dog and also to deepen your relationship with your pet and establish yourself as the guardian and pack leader.

Hawaiian Humane Society serves as a community center for dog obedience classes year round. Call 946-2187 for a list of providers. All use positive-reinforcement training methods.
