UH sweeps Utah State in softball

The Hawaii softball team swept Utah State in a Western Athletic Conference softball doubleheader yesterday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
UH's Stephanie Ricketts earned both victories, pitching 13 innings.
Wahine catcher Stacey Yamada hit a two-out, walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning to give UH a 4-3 win in the first game.
In the second game, UH junior first baseman Amanda Tauali'i belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to lift the Rainbow Wahine (20-20, 8-4) over the Aggies 3-2.
Ricketts picked up all of the wins in the three-game series, going 19 innings on two starts and one relief appearance.
Utah State dropped to 8-28 and 1-8.
