3 awards for YouthBuild Honolulu
YouthBuild Honolulu, an educational and job-training program, won three awards from the YouthBuild USA Affiliated Network. The program, under the city's Department of Community Services, Youths Services Center, serves low-income residents, ages 16 to 24, who have not graduated from high school.
The program earned honors for best attendance, best completion/retention, and best GED/high school diploma completers.
Dr. Warren Evans is the new campus president of Argosy University, Hawaii. Prior to his appointment, Evans was vice president of strategy and business development of KD Engineering in Tucson, Ariz.
Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts hired Elizabeth Bell as director of business development. Her experience includes sales for Royal Lahaina Villas and property management for Chaney Brooks and Co.
Clean Team Inc. announced the following new appointments: Leslie Grandison, who has 20 years' experience in the hotel and housekeeping services industry, to quality and service director; and Robin Kaowili-Fernandez to project director of Ala Moana Center. She is a veteran in the housekeeping industry.
Nagamine Okawa Engineers promoted Alison Agapay to associate from project engineer. He has six years' experience in structural engineering.
ProService Hawaii hired Robert J. Gallo as client relations manager. He was previously director of sales and marketing at RTK Environmental Group, regional sales manager and national account manager with Waste Management of New York and Connecticut, and quality specialist for IBM.
