Dr. Long hired as hospice director

Hospice Maui hired Dr. Nancy Long as full-time medical director.

Her experience includes medical director for Hospice of Community Visiting Nursing Agency in Attleboro, Mass., and associate medical director for Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.

ProService Hawaii announced the following new hires:

» Alberto Maldonado as director of sales.

He was previously vice president of front line at Wyndham Resorts.

» Sam Vaughs as associate business development manager for Oahu.

He was previously a marketing team leader with Wyndham Vacation Ownership.

» Tim Johnson as associate business development manager for Kauai.

He has 13 years' experience in residential and commercial real estate sales and management experience.

The YWCA of Oahu received $10,000 from the Walmart Foundation for its Life Inc. career exploration program for high school students. The YWCA provides mentors from the business community to teach the program in classrooms.
