Pearl City handles Leilehua

Chase Numata scored on a fielding error in the third inning, and Bronson Oda followed with a sacrifice fly to right field to drive in Derrick Viela as top-ranked Pearl City held off Leilehua 8-4 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West baseball at Fred Wright Park yesterday.
With two runs in the fifth inning, Leilehua strung together three straight hits to rally within 4-2, but Pearl City capitalized on Mules errors in the top of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach with three unearned runs.

Mililani's Travis Inouye hit a two-run homer in the seventh to force the extra innings.
Keanu Kapana struck out five batters in the first six innings before handing the ball to Chadwick Kaalekahi, who picked up the win on the mound.
