The Superferry has sailed away, and that eliminates the sunset cruise the Contemporary Museum had planned as part of its ConTempo fundraiser April 18. But the event will go on. It includes an auction and sale of paintings, photography, ceramics and sculpture by leading local artists. Co-chairwomen Cherye Pierce and Tiana Torii say the art up for bid will be the most in the benefit's 15-year history.

Patrons also will be treated to dinner and dancing in the transformed Ferry Terminal at Pier 19, with special effects created by Hawaii Stage and Lighting Rentals. Dinner will be by Chef Chai Chaowasaree of Chai's Island Bistro with service by Current Affairs. Tickets start at $500 each. Some of the art to be sold is on view at Neiman Marcus through April 15.
