Naked man, 29, breaks into home

Kauai prosecutors charged a 29-year-old homeless man who allegedly broke into a home on Friday while nude, a county news release said.

Ronald Luna was being held in lieu of $10,050 bail.

Police said that at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Luna climbed through a bedroom window into a Puhi home and knocked on another bedroom's door. When a woman opened the door, she saw Luna standing naked, police said.

Luna left the home and walked to a neighboring home, where police found him standing outside the window and arrested him on suspicion of indecent exposure and two counts of first-degree burglary.

Fire leaves man without a home

Fire caused $130,000 in damage and left a man homeless at a multiunit Lihue house on Saturday, a Kauai County news release said.

The fire started at about 2:15 p.m. in a 100-square-foot storage shed outside the two-story home. It spread up to the balcony and a second-floor apartment's kitchen.

A man in the apartment tried to put it out with a garden hose. Firefighters extinguished the fire by 4:20 p.m.

No one was hurt.

HONOLULU

Punches thrown over trash talk

Honolulu police arrested a 13-year-old Pearl City boy for first-degree burglary after he allegedly entered an 11-year-old boy's home and punched him in the face over some trash talk the two exchanged in an online gaming site.

The two boys were logged onto the gaming site Friday night when the suspect walked over to the other boy's home, knocked on the door, walked in when the door was opened and punched the other boy, police said. Police arrested the boy without incident.
