HEMIC gets Lloyd's approval
HEMIC Insurance Managers Inc., a subsidiary of Hawaii Employers' Mutual Insurance Co., has received approval to underwrite and bind certain insurance coverage from Lloyd's of London.
HIMI is the third such company in Hawaii to receive coverholder status, said HIMI President David Doehm.
“;This will allow us to continue expanding our flexible portfolio of insurance programs and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Hawaii's employers and insurance agents,”; Doehm said. “;Our plan is to continue expanding HIMI's services by offering our agents access to more underwriting facilities on which we have binding authority.”;
HIMI, founded in 2007, will now underwrite its Employment Practices Liability Insurance program through certain underwriters at Lloyd's, Doehm said.
